SLIM?S LAST STAND is the story of Tucson Slim, a testy eighty year old retired Arizona marshal, who finds it impossible to grow old gracefully. Constantly confronted with society?s slights, he is disillusioned with life and steadily growing unsure of himself. When Slim stumbles into a kidnapping-in-progress, he encounters a strange girl who eventually shows up on his doorstep claiming the baby she took is her own.
