A Journal of Comfort and Solace

While on earth, at times Jesus found it necessary to withdraw from the chaos around him in order to refuel. He modeled what it meant to find a place of quiet rest in the mountains or retreating to a garden. Where do you retreat in order to refuel; is it to a corner in your office, park bench, under a tree, by a lake, or in your car? And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. Mark 6:46 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. Matthew 14:23 Earthly demands drain us emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, creating the need to pause and reenergize. As we battle the enemy on a daily basis through our jobs, family, and relationships, we need daily spiritual renewal so as not to succumb; so, let's find a place of quiet comfort where we can share our thoughts in quiet worship. This journal is the beginning. It provides the opportunity to document our thoughts in preparation for conversing with God, or for logging our thoughts after communing with God. Either way, the experience is cathartic, purifying, cleansing, and liberating. A closer communion with God! This journal allowed me to free my mind and lighten the burdens.
