The Edge of Passionfruit

It's the summer before her junior year of high school, so isn't it supposed to be fun? Instead, Ellis Reisetter finds herself working at the same soda shop her mother used to hang out at when she was in high school. How lame is that? There is one perk, though-plenty of free soda. Make that two perks, at least when the store gets robbed and Ellis finds herself locking eyes with uber-cute college freshman and cop-in-training Peyton Redman, who is assigned to take her statement. Yes, please. Suddenly, that boring summer is looking up, and as long as her mother doesn't interfere too much, Ellis may just find herself on the edge of passion(fruit).
