Under the Greenwood Tree

Television adaptation of Thomas Hardy's classic novel, starring Keeley Hawes and Tom Georgeson. In a rural English village in the mid-19th century, an impoverished young man falls in love with a middle-class schoolteacher and attempts to win her over. At the same time, in the local church the traditional choir is about to be replaced by a brand new modern organ, with, controversially, a female organist.
