1980s American romantic comedy written and produced by John Hughes. Aspiring artist Keith Nelson (Eric Stoltz) has managed to land himself a date with popular girl Amanda Jones (Lea Thompson), but she may be using Keith as a way of getting back at her insensitive rich-kid boyfriend Hardy Jenns (Craig Sheffer). While wrapped up in the confusion of his situation, he fails to notice how his tomboy best friend Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson) really feels about him.
