Stanley Katz (Judd Trichter), an American exchange student, discovers the egg when a pot-holing accident sees him tumble into a ravine. With Stanley reported missing by the rest of his group, a cub reporter from the local newspaper Rosie Bennett (Mia Fothergill) arrives to investigate.
