Getting Jobs by Glyn Jordan

In early August 2009 my wife and I went to see the movie Julie & Julia, a movie about how Julia Child entered the cooking profession and is intertwined with blogger Julie Powell. In 1963 Julia Childs began her television cooking show. Julie wanted to recreate all Julia Childs? recipes so she developed her own blog in which she daily described her efforts to cook each one on Julia?s signature recipes. As described in the movie, Julie?s blog became quite a sensation attracting many avid followers. After the movie, I began to think about developing my own blog which would provide advice and assistance to job seekers. That very afternoon I went home, got on the Internet, and found that I could establish my own blog on Google for no cost. The result was the blog ?Getting Jobs By Glyn Jordan? which was first posted on August 10, 2009. The stated purpose of the blog is: This blog contains information for job seekers. Job search experiences of Glyn Jordan are included as comments. Readers of the blog are encouraged to share their own job search experiences with others. All job search suggestions are welcomed. After posting over 200 entries in the blog, I have decided to compile a book that categorizes and groups the individual blogs by job search subjects. The time and energy that I have devoted to this project has been rewarding to me. Perhaps, my effort in itself can be an example to job seekers illustrating how success follows dedicated effort and focus.
