The stories of Mr Roulage are true stories written to help people make friends with the Congo. Each of these stories has been written to share with the reader information and culture of the country, and its people in a positive and humanistic way. This plot in this the Second Adventure is about the benefits of exercise while which is the front story. The story tells the reader about the environment surrounding the story. While the reader has heard of the benefits of exercise the back story will also create curiosity in learning about the way things are done in another part of the world. How are we alike and how are we different. As a teacher the stories are meant to share concepts that I would like young people to learn without letting them know that is what I am doing. Children today are able to multitask and the story has several different threads. It should provoke questions and at the same time it should answer others. Most people, young or old who share these adventures are surprised by what they read. As I would say in the Congo, "Bienvenue chez moi." This translates to welcome to my place, read and enjoy.
