Biggie the Bear CARES stories teach Success Skills to 5 to 9 year-old children. They teach how to calm emotional reactions, face fears and tame temper. Young children often want their way right away and may argue and blow-up when they don't get what they want. Stories teach children better ways of getting along with others and getting what they want. They teach how to become a Kid who CARES by: Cooperating, Appreciating, Respecting others, Encouraging efforts, and Stopping to think so they can Speak up before they blow up. Video games and other media often teach disturbing lessons about getting temporary success through conflict and conquest. Many of us wish our children and grandchildren could learn that lasting success comes through self-control and cooperation with others. Biggie the Bear stories teach these life lessons.
