Just Think About It
Phil Gladden
When my wife and I retired from Tampa, Florida to Paris, Kentucky, we were so taken with the beauty of the open spaces and rolling hills, as well as the friendly residents, that I wrote a letter to the local newspaper about how much we loved the area. The editor enjoyed my writing and asked me to write a column for The Bourbon County Citizen. That was four years and numerous articles ago. My articles cover a range of topics from battling weight gain to a story on my snuff-dipping Aunt Thelma and a childhood fishing trip gone wrong. Many of these articles contain messages of hope, which are presented in a humorous, common-sense manner. These articles feel like a conversation with an old friend.
