Within My Thoughts
Louis H Metoyer
In this deeply personal collection of poetry from Cane River Creole poet, educator, and founder and editor of the Bayou Talk Newspaper, Louis H. Metoyer explores the timeless themes of identity, family, culture, loss, and love. An intimate exploration of the thoughts and feelings that have come to define the life of this Creole man, son, and father who was born and began life in the parish of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Through his words and images, Louis offers us insight, inspiration, and an invitation to ponder our own place in this world, our own ideas about who we are, why we are here, and what makes life most meaningful as the years go by.
