They have been ruthlessly prepared from birth for the ultimate strike against humanity. Their controlling masters are the incredibly wealthy and influential Potamus group of industrialists, financiers, politicians and global figure-heads. Should it succeed, this ultimate strike will result in genocide of untold and unprecedented proportions . . . it will also result in absolute world domination for the already over-privileged few. All that stands in their way is an unlikely group of recovering drug addicts and alcoholics who, on their own journey through life, inhabit a totally different and parallel reality. Inexorably this band of ne'er do wells are drawn into the web of international intrigue and, as the web closes ever more tightly, their own group: Gossamer begins to evolve. With only their native wit and network of friends to call upon it is Gossamer who, ironically and of necessity, become the last hope for the salvation of mankind.
