'The Cleaner, and other ill-fated incidents, ' is a collection of short humorous stories, where the author, Alan Barry, takes you on a journey into the pages of a world occupied by a mixture of surreal and ordinary comedy characters, such as a young boy and his talking stick, a juggling carrot, a tyrant mayor, bumbling gangsters, acid tripping teens and terrified school new-comers. 'The Cleaner, ' tells the story about two bumbling gangsters who come in contact with a hit-man, and 'Clean-up Time in Peaceville' tells the story about loveable Johnny Goode and his battle with a new tyrant mayor . And 'School Pickings' deals with the fears of a young boy on his first day in a new school, while 'What a Life!' deals with the isolation a young boy experiences after an life changing accident
