Target of Fear

The year is 1919. Former police captain Joshua Oates, a veteran of World War I, starts a new life as a private investigator despite his excess drinking and horrible nightmares from the war. A new case leads to a sinister plot of kidnapping, murder and revenge. The sequel to the thriller "Vengeance Of The Ripper" pits Oates against a twisted business tycoon and a new enemy from his past. With help from famous escape artist Harry Houdini and Nobel Prize winning scientist Marie Curie, Oates must stop a nefarious plot to use chemical weapons against the new government in Russia and prevent the murder of an old friend.
