John Stuart Mill (1806-1873) is one of the most influential contributors to economic theory. In contrast to Thomas Morus' 'utopia', he was noted for coining the term of 'dystopia'. At the early age of 14 he began his studies in chemistry, zoology, mathematics, logic and metaphysics which eventually led to his interest in socio-political and ethical issues.
