Chasing Sage

Chasing Sage is an intriguing depiction of suspense, romance, murder, betrayal and mystery. Sage Cameron has a past that makes her question why life and relationships seem to always be complex and toxic. She wonders if "Danger" is her middle name because her past and current lifestyle leads to an uncertain future. Standing oddly behind her, he knew she could smell his cologne and hoped that the eighth sense of his desires would permeate through his Italian suit into her form fitting dress. As the rail car gets more occupied, he positioned himself just behind her so she could feel his strength if the gods of lust would grant him the sweet chance of brushing up against her at their next stop and start. His intense feelings made him want to have his fill of her sweet nectar, and he visualized turning her around and... "Excuse me, sir," the gentleman next to him asked. He was immediately brought back to his senses."Yes," he replied. "What time is it?" inquired the young man. "It's 6:15 according to my watch, young blood." As the young man politely thanked him, he pressed the barrel of his 9mm into his side and whispered "The Rolex, the ring, and the wallet, Big Spender." "Damn!" he replied. He couldn't believe it. The robber immediately put his valuables in his coat pocket; then pointed the gun toward her and said, "Tell your girlfriend that I need her purse too." As he tried to tell the robber that they were not together, he pressed the gun against her side, she jumped and looked him directly in the face..... ..... After placing the gun back under his jacket and her purse under his other arm, the robber started to calmly walk away when he kicked the back of his left leg and lunged toward him as the purse dropped to the floor and its contents scattered. The robber quickly gained his footing, swung around, pulled the gun out and pointed the gun at him again; but this time with a grimace on his face and fire in his eyes. Fearing that he had made a horrible mistake by not finishing the job, he was relieved to see that the robber became more interested in getting out of the rail car than putting a slug in him. He was not sure if the angels were protecting them or the robber by letting him squeeze through the narrow doorway, but he was happy to see that the threat was gone despite him wanting to cut the rose-draped cross tattoo off of the left side of the robber's neck for his latest warfare trophy collection. If the robber knew what was good for him, the robber wouldn't be seen again because the next time will be a deadly encounter. He turned his attention to his beautiful distraction as he picked up her purse and tried to return it to her. Loose change and her business cards fell out of her purse as it fell to the floor revealing a gorgeous photo of her standing next to a beautician's chair with the name "Intrigue Salon and Beauty" printed along the side of the high gloss card. He anticipated her saying her name was "Intrigue" when he asked her; but when she paused and said her name was Sage, the apprehension in her voice told him that she wasn't comfortable with him and didn't trust him. To break the ice, he offered an ill-timed joke by asking her if she gave him her stripper name. The piercing look she gave let him know that she didn't appreciate his sense of humor, and she quickly gathered her things and ran off the rail car as the doors opened at the next stop. He knelt there dumbfounded and wanting to have a "do over" for his error in judgement. He dropped his head in frustration, but recognized that he had options when he saw one of Sage's business cards still on the floor. When he reached for his wallet to put the card in, reality smacked him squarely in the face because the thug still had his valuables. More importantly, he had his personal information.
