Since the Colin McRae series first made its mark on consoles, its been the rally title to beat. Colin McRae - DiRT gave the series a graphical overhaul for the modern console generation, and DiRT 2 continues to improve on its formula of gritty visuals and rough-and-ready handling. DiRT 2 offers the usual selection of Colin McRae racing events, including multi-car and solo races that take place across locations from canyons trails to city landscapes.

The DS edition of the rally game has been designed from the ground up for Nintendos handheld. Codemasters track editor returns with the ability to quickly create tracks using the DS stylus and free draw tool. Full tracks can be created within minutes. Using Nintendos Wi-Fi Connection, up to four players can now compete against one another locally.
