The Vampire Diaries Season 1

Based on the novels f the same name by author L. J. Smith, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers obsessed with the same beautiful girl, and battling to control the fate of an entire town. Stefan and Damon Salvatore return to the fictional town of Mystic falls for different reasons, one for good the other for evil. Stefan is drawn towards Elena Gilbert, who bears resemblance to a past flame, Katherine Pierce, the beautiful but ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved in 1864. Damon on the other hand is intent on releasing Katherine from the tomb where he believes she was trapped spell many years ago.

The 1st series also focuses on Elena's friends and the lives of other inhabitants in Mystic Falls.
