When a meteor crashes into a small country town, it unleashes the fury of a partially frozen, 40,000-year-old, rampaging mammoth. Fearing the worst, authorities enlist the help of two special agents to contain the threat and save the town from total annihilation. A local palaeontologist and a B-movie fanatic get in on the action, but even with their combined expertise, they prove powerless in the face of such sheer brute force. Now, with the clock ticking and the body count rising, their only hope of defeating the beast is to destroy it...
